Following the launch of the Nike+ FuelBand SE in early November, Nike is releasing the first colorway in its new METALUXE Collection—the Rose Gold Nike+ FuelBand SE.
Available in limited quantities worldwide, the striking Rose Gold colorway takes cues from high end timeware, with a clasp, bezel and screws manufactured from 316 series stainless steel. These beautifully crafted metal components are then hand polished to a mirror finish and given a beautiful and extremely durable PVD coating.
The one thing that jumps out to me after seeing these pics from NIKE (and I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing) is that NIKE is fully embracing the fact that this is just as much a fashion accessory and status symbol as it is a fully functioning piece of fitness equipment that will help you get in better shape.
NIKE has never been afraid to be a part of the culture with their gear and its obvious that they have been a major part of the rise in focusing on lifestyle of athletes and athletics but these press release photos go all out. Its straight jewelry. No one is working out…. cute though.
* By the way, they dont want to show the faces of these broads? I’m a big fan of the hips that wear a whole bunch of bracelets and bangles and shits like that so I’m sure there is a smokeshow or two in this bunch. I need to do some more investigating…
The Rose Gold Nike+ FuelBand SE will be available in limited quantities from select retail locations and nike.com beginning Nov. 21, 2013 for a suggested retail price of $169 (US).
