Terrell Owens feels the Philly Love with the all new Philly Cheesesteak Burger with thinly sliced Steak, melted Swiss, and grilled Peppers ‘n’ Onions, all on top of a charbroiled Six Dollar Thickburger® and served on a Fresh Baked Bun. Only at Carl’s Jr.
When I first saw this TO / Carl’s Jr. commercial, I thought to myself, “man, how far the greats have fallen.” But then, I watched it a couple of more times and I started to like it. Now, I love it.
I’ve always been a TO guy. Dude could ball. Lets not forget how much game he had when he had someone throwing him the rock. Now, as a locker room presence and calling his teammates soft, gay, and accusing cats of being out of shape and quitting in key moments probably wasn’t the best idea.
The irony of all this is that I’m pretty sure TO hasn’t eaten anything like this from Carl’s Jr. or any fast food place in probably 25 years. That dude is jacked and you don’t get jacked like that eating fast trash. Gotta pay the rent tho.
He’s had some bumps in the road, and now that he has seen his last real football game, its time for him to cash in and do what he is supposed to do, be a personality… if there was anyone who will end up being a personality, it will be him. He’s not a good fit for football tv (I don’t think) but there is a place in the world for TO. The reality show thing, worked, and then didn’t work, but he will find a lane I’m sure. For now, I’m enjoying this commercial because its hilarious.
When that kid says, “Hey TO!” and then slaps the food out of his hands… #GUTS
