Our guy John Salley is in New York City and visits the Breakfast Club. Its a great 45 minutes and he covers a lot of topics, but spends most of the time talking about his journey to health and what changing your diet can do for you.
He hits colonics, vegan vine, “THC,” veganism and a whole bunch of other topics while he is there.
Listening to Mr. Salley makes you want to change your life. I can without a doubt say that there are a lot of things that I am eating and a lot of things that I am reading and a lot of things that I am doing, that I wouldn’t be doing, if it wasn’t for John Salley and his mission to get the word out on veganism. I have a lot of friends, female mostly, that swear by vegetarianism and veganism, and it never really stuck with me. I can say that ever since I got hip to Salley and what he was doing and started listening to him talk about this life, I have made a lot of changes.
I’m NOWHERE near where I need to be, but I am better.

Sall has visited the site before and given me some shouts out on twitter. Thank you for that… but something just hit me as I was coming up with a title for this. I want to rap to Sall (we have some mutual friends) and throw an idea out to him because he mentioned some good advice he got after he signed his big contract with Miami. A dude told him about putting some money away. And then he talked a little bit about wanting to get to Dwayne Wade and fixing his eating habits can help with a lot of the injuries that he’s had. The seem like an easy enough ideas but most ballers, as we know, don’t do that. So that got me to thinking. They do the same thing over and over again, overtraining, overspending, etc. and end up all in the same boat.
But Salley has a story to tell, and you can’t front that his success off the court, health wise and wealth wise is something that a lot of people can learn from. There has to be a way to broadcast this, a way to put everything that he is doing all in one place and preach to the masses. But also, he knows these dudes so he can get to them, a lot of them at least, before its too late. But it needs to be shaped right. A website. A company. All of that.
What I came up with, is if he is a life coach / consultant / counselor / whatever…. How about a company called, “Whealthness.” www.whealthness.com. Getting your financial health and physical health in line, while you still got it.
I like Whealthness. It brings it all together.
Holler at me Sall. I’m in LA. I’d love to meet with you and sandbox some ideas when you are back in town!
* Ok, apparently some woman out of Switzerland has a whealthness Facebook page…. but I still like this idea. If we do it this way, its a totally different idea than what she is doing.
