Join Action Bronson and aforementioned cousin, Big Body Bes, along with a diverse cast of characters as they demolish audiences and sandwiches alike. – Munchies.vice.com
In this episode, Bronsolino and the crew go from Florida to Georgia to North Carolina and up to Philly. ALong the way they hit up Clive’s Cafe, OB BBQ, Time Out and Paesano’s. The rock shows, they eat food, they run city blocks, they chill. This show is incredible and Action is a tour de force. I love this shit.
Clive’s Cafe – Little Haiti 5890 NW 2nd Ave Miami, FL 33127
Apparently they have moved from their original location to a spot in Little Haiti down in the MIA. That’s awesome because I love Little Haiti (my grandfather has Haitian roots) but I haven’t been in the bottom for a couple of years. I need to go back. I need to fuck with Clive’s.
Random side note – watching this episode made me want to go get Jamaican, so I stopped by my local spot called Coley’s. #truestory FUCK, it was delicious!
O.B.’s BBQ – 725 Industrial Blvd McDonough, GA 30253 – YELP
This spot looks real right. I have no idea where McDOnough GA is…. I went to college in Atlanta. I’m going to have to disagree with Retch’s assessment (or agree depending how you look at it) but adult ribs are the best. Smothering sweet ass bbq like you are Applebee’s or Tony Roma’s is the worst shit in life. Real bbq taste like you are eating meat #pause, not like you are eating dessert.
Time Out – 133 W Franklin St Chapel Hill, NC 27516 – YELP
I’ve heard about this place forever. I have friends that either grew up in North Cackalacky or went to school out there and everyone raves about this spot. I don’t necessarily think its an amazing place at all, but a time and place experience. You are there, the place has so much history and you enjoy it and grub down because of ‘what it is.’
Paesano’s Philly – 152 W Girard Ave Philadelphia, PA 19123 – YELP
Not much to say here other than bucket list. I would go to this spot after seeing the fried lasagna with the egg sandwich alone. Then the rest. I want this in my life. I need to say I’ve been there. I’m sure that the sandwiches are expensive as hell (for sandwiches) but still worth it.
By the way, I think I’ll start putting a Bronsolino song on every AB related post, so, here:
