It looks like the 6ix god is about to take his brand, and his FOrbes status to the next level. In a post on the gram an hour or so ago, in what looks like an announcement, let his army know that he has a branded whiskey coming to the market soon.
If you are following trends in the rap and hip hop world, the big players on the Forbes Hip Hop moguls rich list, the majority of the top cats have a liquor that they are pushing. But more than endorsing, they are partnering with brands and getting a piece of the pie instead of just a check.
Noooooo information out there on Virginia Black yet, but I’m efforting.
Diddy is probably the most out there guy of the rappers, but don’t sleep on Jay Z, or Ludacris, or DJ Khaled. Actually, I’m going to look it up and make a list right now.
Here are some folks on the list:
Puff – Ciroc (vodka), DeLeon (tequila)
Snoop Dogg – Landy Cognac
E-40 – Earl Stevens Wine
Jay Z – Ace of Spades (champagne), D’Usse (cognac)
Nicki Minaj – Myx, Moscato wine
Birdman – Grand Touring Vodka
Ludacris – Conjure Cognac
Rick Ross – Belaire Rose
Ne-Yo – Malibu Red (rum)
* Side note, this isn’t anything new in music. The country music dudes have been killing it for yeeeeeeears – I almost want to say decades – and rappers caught on to it. Why constantly give these folks a commercial in your music and not take advantage of it?
