| October 4, 2015

COWSPIRACY: The Sustainability Secret is a groundbreaking feature-length environmental documentary following an intrepid filmmaker as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today, and investigates why the world’s leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it.

A cool thing that has happened recently, Leo has become an executive producer…. and when you have one of the greatest actors and movie stars of our generation in the fold, you get wider distro. Luckily, you can now see this documentary on Netflix.

* So, as you may know, Forks Over Knives is what made me think about starting this site years ago. Movies move me. This movie moved me and gave me a ton of more things to think about. I love steak. I love chicken wings. I love lamb. I love chili. I’m a dude that will crush meat any and every opportunity I get, but its getting more and more difficult to willingly ignore what my meat consumption and all of our meat consumption does to the animals, to the environment, to the world.

First and foremost, its about my health. I just eat too much meat. All of those answers are out there and we all know what it means, so I won’t bore you there.

But, as you read and listen and find out more about the actual industry, its about a much bigger thing than that.

I’ve never been one of those dudes who said, “we are raising all of these animals just to kill and eat them so we need to fix it!” … that was never my jam, but greenhouse gasses, the water issues, the fact that greenhouse gas emissions from animal agriculture being a larger contributor to our problem than gas and coal and transportation and all of those things COMBINED is a stark reality.

What can I do to change that? Chill on the f.cking meat bro.

This is an awesome documentary. Watch it. And listen to the podcast below because it’s great.
