Experience a city like a local with the new original series 36 Hours, which premieres Monday, Aug. 17, at 8 p.m. ET. Inspired by the popular New York Times travel column, the show follows co-hosts Kristen Kish, an acclaimed chef, and Kyle Martino, a former professional US soccer player, as they arrive in a new city each week, where they’ll have a weekend to meet insiders who will point them to the best restaurants, hot spots and attractions. – Travel Channel
In the first episode, which airs today, Kyle and Kristin head to Berlin to quote, meet graffiti artists, learn about the city’s history, its adoration of sex, and learn of unified Berlin’s unique dining experiences unquote.
Can’t wait for this one. Martino has a ton of personality and great hair. Kristen Kish is hands down one of my favorite chefs ever on TC (Great lettuce as well). And this column in the NYT is a personal favorite. The marriage of food and travel and big personalities is never a bad thing and I think Kyle and Kristen will be a solid duo.
Follow the show, watch the show, follow them on the social networks, lets keep this ting going.
