The VEGAN FOOD PYRAMID seen here is from graphic artist Joshua Wold. A vegetarian or vegan my whole life who in 2006 designed the Vegan Food Pyramid to help people see all the amazing foods that he can eat. He has a website and allows folks to download free wallpapers of the vegan food pyramid for years asking that we share it with friends and family.

The cool thing, is that he actually has postcards and posters of the pyramid that you can purchase in his vegan pyramid shop if you really want to be about that life. The poster is something that would be cool to have framed and hung in any kitchen, or health food store or restaurant. The postcards could be something to send people to let them know that they have healthier options and could be one of those reminders if they wanted to go that route. I like this. I think I’m going to buy a poster.

* The poster is his and his alone. It represents his personal experience as a vegetarian / vegan. His pyramid is intended as inspiration and motivation but makes no claims as professional or medical guidelines.

Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, as well as following an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of sentient animals.

Dietary vegans refrain from consuming animal products, not only meat but also eggs, dairy products and other animal-derived substances.

Taking it a step further, ethical veganism, is often applied to those who not only follow a vegan diet, but extend that vegan philosophy into other areas of their lives, and oppose the use of animals or animal products for any purpose.
