Lets start out with some basics here …. Bacon has taken over. And I love bacon. I used to order bacon with everything and I have some bacon in my freezer right now.
So, I don’t want any of the bacon lovers out there to take this with the wrong idea or think that I feel some type of way about bacon. I don’t have beef with bacon, I just think that shit has gone way too far. This is America though, and the way that we role in the greatest land of all (especially in the social media age), once something gets some momentum, its a wrap. Plus, bacon taste like magic.
But, we all know that bacon will clog up your body and jack you up in the long run. The research shows that 68% of bacon’s calories come from fat – almost half of which is saturated. Each ounce of bacon contributes 30 milligrams of cholesterol. Its accepted knowledge that eating foods rich in saturated fats can raise your cholesterol levels, increasing your risk of heart disease and stroke. So, the stuff is bad for us if we eat too much, it may be even bad for us if we eat a little bit, but…. it taste like happiness.
The title of this post, is what its all about, because today as I was thumbing through some pictures on pinterest I noticed that there were all kinds of things bacon. But it wasn’t just bacon-wrapped-bacon, they are actually really healthy foods, wrapped in bacon. Sooooooo, those healthy foods became…. yeah. Here are some of those wonderful creations.*
