SWIM AGAINST THE TIDE – Japanese House

Thanks in large part to Radio1 and Zane Lowe, The Japanese House has been a world phenomenon for about a year. The 20-years-old pop/electronic/alternative/whatever artist has had a tremendous buzz since he played STILL on the radio late last year.

Since that time of the song drop and that first EP drop, like any young that has found some frame and a larger audience for their art, she has been touring and doing spot interviews and unveiling a little more of herself.

Lo-and-behold, I happen to be doing my next music discovery thing today and saw that she dropped a new EP yesterday on some new music friday shxt.

I haven’t stopped listening to it yet.

I like what is happening here.

Her name is Amber Bain.

(I’ve never met anyone called “Amber” that I didn’t like, no lie.)

She’s from the U.K.

She plays instruments.

She’s got a little bit of that mysterious minimalist thing going with information about her on the internets but that will all change the more and more music she makes. The interest is there.

Give this a listen, shoot her a follow, you’ll want to see her grow.

London. Heaven. Sold Out 😇
