Leona Louise Lewis is a British singer and songwriter whom first came to prominence after winning the third series of The X Factor in 2006. Her debut album, Spirit, was released in 2007, and sold over eight million copies worldwide.
Lewis has been a vegetarian since she was 12, won PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian along with Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis in 2008, and Europe’s Sexiest Vegetarian in 2009 with actor Scott Maslen.
She also was named PETA’s Person of the Year for 2008, is a supporter of the World Society for the Protection of Animals and is a patron of Brentwood’s Hopefield Animal Sanctuary.
Last year, she tweeted out that she was going full fledged vegan. I couldn’t find much on how she is dong with that, but I’m sure she has kept it up! If you see this Leona, feel free to shoot me a tweet or email with an update.
I've been vegan for a few days now, I'm trying it for the whole month. Any recipes you can recommend?

Not only does she not believe in animal cruelty in any form, she puts her money where her mouth is… or is not wishy washy with it and really means it, so much so, that she once turnt down $1m for a department store endorsement, because they sold animal furs and she just couldn’t support it.
After a little bit of disbelief from a worldwide audience, she simply wrote in a blog post, ‘I’m totally against animal cruelty. I don’t have clothes, shoes or bags made from any animal products.’
