Kristen Wiig is an actress, comedian, and writer who is best known for her work as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2012.
She was a member of the improv comedy group out of Los Angeles called The Groundlings, has appeared in several television series and films, including Bridesmaids, MacGruber, Flight of the Conchords, Adventureland, Paul, Arrested Development and in three movies out this holiday season, The Adventures of Walter Mitty, Anchorman 2 and some voice over work in Despicable Me 2.
She was named one of PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities of 2011.
In an interview with Womens Health Magazine, Kristen talked about her crazy schedule and her vegetarian diet:
SNL has a crazy schedule. What do you do to stay healthy?
“I live between Central Park and the Hudson River, and those are two great places to walk and run. I also do yoga. A bunch of us have a private class once a week. When I’m working, I try to get something in a couple times a week. I’m a vegetarian; I eat a lot of tofu and soy. I drink a lot of water, and I’m addicted to cranberry juice. I do have a splurge day once a week when I can eat whatever I want. It’s good, because it helps you stay on track the rest of the week. In the beginning, I ate anything I could see. But it’s funny: The more you do it, the less you end up splurging.”
