Bill Gates recently got to check out the Omniprocessor, an ingenious machine designed and built by Janicki Bioenergy, which turns human waste into water and electricity. In places without good waste treatment plants, it could be a real game-changer.
Founded and run by engineers, Janicki Industries designs and builds high-precision parts and tooling for aerospace, marine, wind energy and transportation customers. We specialize in composite materials and exotic metals.
Janicki BioEnergy (I assume related) is right down the street from JI and they got the funding from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for more of this.
This machine is a monster.

Love the fact that Bill and Melinda are throwing big money after incredible projects that will change the world. I used to be a big, make-as-much-money-as-you-can-and-then-buy-an-island-and-whores-type of guy, and with Gates, I remember the Road Ahead cd-rom that talked about the home of the future. His goal then was to be the richest effing guy on the planet and dominate the world.
But then, the government figured he was too rich and decided to start suing the hell out of the company. And then he got married. And then he changed. I’m sure he was always really REALLY philanthropic, but it wasnt on this level until he found his woman and now, he is legit going to change the world through good shit and he is using his money, his ridiculous amounts of money, for greatness. Love it.
