Aimee Richelle Teegarden is an actress, model, activist, producer, blogger, adventurer and vegan. She is most famous for starring as Julie Taylor in the tv version of Friday Night Lights (#TexasForever), Jenny Randall in the horror Scream 4, and Nova Prescott in the Disney film Prom. She will be in the lead role in a new show starting up on the The CW called Star-Crossed.
I definitely got hip to her as we saw her grow up as Julie on FNL, but it was one of those things where you were like, ‘Yeah, shes cute, but she is like 11 years old.’ The one thing that I did notice was that she absolutely had some hammers, and now… she is all growed up, 23 years old, and looking like some new money! I just found out that she is California born (makes sense), raised in Downey and this vegetarian cum vegan thing has done her a lot of good.
The interesting thing is that she has always been a vegetarian, but recently gone “99% vegan.”
“I’ve gotten rid of all dairy,” says Teegarden, a vegan “99 percent of the time. I feel a lot better, I feel cleaner, and ethically it makes me feel a lot happier going to sleep at night.” as told to MNN
She is using her celebrity for good as she has become a huge activist for projects close to her heats including PETA and Saving The Oceans:
Aimee Teegarden is passionate about our oceans and helping to save the ocean’s hidden gems. A longtime surfer, she surfed and swam with Oceana in Santa Barbara Island and La Jolla Cove, home to breathtaking kelp forests on California’s southern coast, where sea lions zip in and out of the green fronds.
Oh, and she is really really fit!
Follow her journey on twitter and instagram and make sure you check in to her really cool website called, HauteHammer.com – even I got something out of it and I’m a dude…. Check out this recipe for “Baked Parmesan Garlic Truffle Fries”
